Tips Lights On Sepeda Motor
Menindaklanjuti Undang-Undang Tahun 2009 tentang Lalu Lintas dan Angkutan Jalan, juragan2 diwajibkan nyalain lampu depan (headlamp) di siang hari. Mo bagi-bagi tips neh, biar juragan dapat belajar dari pengalaman ane.
Lights ON alias Daytime Running Light
Dalam berlalu lintas, kita akan menggunakan prinsip “To See and To be Seen”.
Saat di jalan, kita harus melihat keadaan sekitar dan untuk dilihat orang lain.

Saat siang hari yang sangat terang, membuat mata kita seakan terbiasa melihat benda-benda sekitar (jalanan, trotoar, pohon, dsb). Ketika kita melihat ada kilasan atau sinar cahaya pada saat seperti itu, membuat perhatian kita mengarah ke cahaya tersebut. Hal inilah yang menjadi dasar mengapa DRL perlu dilaksanakan.
Pada awal tahun 1960an di Texas digalakkan kampanye DRL ini. Mengingat di sana cukup tinggi jumlah kendaraan di jalan dan angka kecelakaan di jalan. Di Indonesia, khususnya di kota-kota besar. Angka kepemilikan sepeda motor meningkat tajam dari tahun ke tahun. Namun sayangnya tidak diikuti dengan kesadaran berkendara yang baik, ditambah tingkat emosional yang makin memprihatinkan akibat kemacetan lalu lintas. Faktor-faktor tersebut membuat meningkatnya angka kecelakaan yang terjadi pada sepeda motor.
Alasan Penggunaan Lights ON gan:

Kemarin baru aja ganti bohlam headlamp si jupie , coz lampu dekatnya putus.
Kenapa?
Karena Siang-Malem nyala terus, akhirnya sebelum ganti bohlam, pake lampu jauh.
Dengan ganti pake lampu jauh so kebesit ide buat Lights ON:
Siang Hari: Untuk memanfaatkan Lights ON, kita pake Lampu Jauh (High Beam) kenapa? Karena Lampu jauh jarang kita pakai kan, paling cuma muter2 kota doank ga sampe luar kota.
Malam Hari: Kita kembali pake lampu dekat, soalnya lampu jauh (High Beam) menyilaukan pengguna kendaraan lain, apalagi kondisi rame seperti Jakarta.
Nah, tapi ada beberapa kondisi yang ane ga saranin:
1. pengguna lampu HID (high-intensity discharge), sangat menyilaukan
2. Mungkin pengguna kendaraan seperti T*ger, sc*rpio, and motor2 jantan lain, karena HighBeam-nya udah silau banget gan.
